How much are bridal and special occasion alterations?
Our prices are competitive to this area. We must see you in the dress in order to give you a fair and accurate estimate. We are professionals in this field and should not be compared to dry cleaners or alteration shops that don't specialize in this type of work.
How long do alterations take?
Alterations usually average about three to four weeks, unless multiple fittings are necessary. We do all of our alterations first by wear date and second by the date you are in for your fittings. We do get emergency situations that we have to move to the front line, so if your date is several weeks away, please trust us, sit back and relax. We guarantee your alterations will be done properly and before your big day! Never get your alterations done more than two months prior to any special date as you could gain or lose weight during the planning process.
Do I need an appointment?
While it is not required to make an appointment, it is strongly recommended. We know you may not know your exact schedule and we can be flexible with times, but in order to insure the best possible service, we do prefer them.
How many fittings are usually required?
The typical bride needs two or three fittings. The typical bridesmaid and/or special occasion dress needs one or two fittings. These are typically what we experience; however, there are certain things that could cause you to need more fittings. If we are doing custom work it may take more fittings.
What do I need for my fitting?
Please be sure to have all your undergarments and shoes for your fittings. Different shoes and undergarments drastically change the fit of the dress. It is impossible for us to do your alterations without these items.
How far in advance should I order my tuxedos?
We recommend at least three weeks prior to your use date to insure availability, especially during prom season (March, April, and May) Tuxedos can be ordered the week of the use date, but you may incur a rush fee.
What does a tuxedo rental cost?
Our tuxedos start at $79 and go to $129.
The prices are set for a complete tuxedo which includes: Jacket, pants, shirt, vest or cummerbund, tie and jewelry. Shoes are an additional $25 and are optional.
