After your dress has been altered it will need to be professionally steamed to give it that pristine look. At Alterations by Christy we can steam your gown just like the bridal shops. We steam each layer of your gown including the crinoline and veil. The train is allowed to hang free until you pick it up for your portrait and/or wedding. We ask that you purchase a large flat sheet to wrap the gown in so the train won't wrinkle. We give you back your garment bag to transport your gown after the wedding and to store the dress in until you have it preserved. Please call ahead and let us know when to have your gown ready. We don't steam it until the day before you will be picking it up so it doesn't get dusty.
